BAO TRIEU / BLIJD WORKOUT WEEKEND
July 17 & 18, 1999

CONTEXT
1999 is a memorable year for Kung Fu / Wushu Society Bao Trieu / Blijd: 20 years ago Sifu Trieu Trung La started Bao Trieu in Groningen. The society celebrates this joyful fact through a series of events in 1999. The Workout Weekend is part of this. For 1999, a dual location has been selected: Saturday in the sportshall of rehabilitation centre Beatrixoord in Haren, the Netherlands. And Sunday in the beautiful Chinese Gardens of the Hortus in Haren, where the weekend will be closed with a public demonstration. Added to this BTB-weekend is MAG (Martial Arts Groningen). Through this concept Bao Trieu / Blijd promotes martial arts: fighting sports in general, Groningen as city of martial arts in particular, and - in this jubilee year of Bao Trieu - paying special attention to the versatily of Wushu.
