CHOY LI FUT KUNG FU - WORKSHOP 1999
GRANDMASTER DOC FAI WONG
HOGENDORP SPORT CENTER
(near Amsterdam Central Station)
AMSTERDAM

With its devastating , explosive combinations and awesome CHIN-NA control techniques, CHOY LI FUT KUNG FU has become one of the most popular fighting styles in China, Malaysia and Hong Kong, although it still remains relatively 'mysterious' in the West.

Grandmaster Doc Fai Wong is a fifth-generation grandmaster of Choy Li Fut Kung Fu, Taichichuan and Qigong. He is also inheritor of the original Choy Li Fut School started in Kiang Mei village, China by Chan Heung in 1836. Grandmaster Wong has been teaching in China, Hong Kong and the USA since 1969 and is widely regarded as one of the most advanced and well-versed 'kung fu' masters alive. He appears in the USA "Who's Who?" and is featured in the Black Belt Magazine "Hall of Fame". Grandmaster Doc Fai Wong will give only one seminar in Holland on the way to further seminars on the European mainland.

The seminar, "CHOY LI FUT KUNG FU : Fighting Technique and Chin-Na", will cover many of the tried and trusted Chin-Na control techniques dating back to the China of the mid 1800's. Choy Li Fut Sanshou has long been the "training style" in unarmed combat within China's armed forces and the effective and practical methods of Choy Li Fut are very relevant in the West today where schools are trying to 'broaden' their routines to include more 'realistic' fighting techniques. Do not forget however that Choy Li Fut has a very long history dating right back to the Shaolin Temple 'fighting monks' and so the style has had centuries of work and development to make it what it is today.

This seminar is one that you definitely should not miss !

The seminar starts at 13:30. Please be present at 13:00.
The seminar will last for THREE hours minimum and will be physically intensive. The minimum age for participation is 12 years old, without exception. The cost of the seminar is 75 Dutch Guilders per person which should be paid BY BANK to the organizers not later than the 14th of March 1999. Participation is subject to full registration and payment of fees.
