Why?
1999 is a memorable year for Kung Fu / Wushu Society Bao Trieu / Blijd:
20 years ago, Sifu Trieu Trung La started Bao Trieu in Groningen,
the Netherlands.
Bao Trieu celebrates its anniversary through a series of events and
activities in 1999.
What?
In MAG (Martial Arts in Groningen) demo teams from a
number of martial art schools, predominantly from the city of Groningen and
its surroundings, show various aspects of their martial art in an attractive way.
At the end of most demonstrations there will be a short meeting in which one or
more members from
Bao Trieu / Blijd fight with representatives of the performing guest school
while adhering to the the rules of that school.
Alternatively, members of Bao Trieu / Blijd may show their version of similar techniques.
What for?
With MAG - Martial Arts in Groningen,
Bao Trieu / Blijd aims to promote martial arts: martial art in general,
and Groningen as a city of martial arts in particular.
Also - in this anniversary year - special attention will be put on the versatility of wushu.
MAG provides spectators with a good overview of the
different martial arts, and the high level of martial art practice in Groningen.
