Self-defense training course
'Self-defense', a word that makes you think of hold-ups, violations, rapes and other forms of violence. And it's a fact: it is useful to know what to do when somebody wants to hurt you. There's no harm in knowing how to defend yourself against bad intentions.

Mastering self-defense techniques, being able to respond fast, being in good shape and physically strong - all of this will be useful for a potential victim. But they're not strictly necessary for acting effectively against an attacker. Most of the time an attacker changes his mind or runs away, when you react unexpectedly and surprise your attacker. But you have to be able to react and you have to dare doing so. That's what it is all about in this self-defense course.

And there's more to practicing styles of self-defense. Whether you are practicing self-defense, Judo, Jiu Jitsu, Karate, Taekwondo, Pencak Silat, Wushu, Kung Fu or any other Martial Arts -- it means first of all that you are doing a real sport, you're exercising your body and you're learning how to control your body in optima forma.

In our self-defense course we're working on the following.

Basic techniques punches, kicks, elbow techniques, knee Techniques throw breaking techniques, armlocks, grips
Condition training
Physical power training push-ups, abdominal training
Body posture
Sparring to learn how to fight and to handle your fear, in a pleasant way

All of this in a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere: small groups, nice music.

The training is not only to have fun, it is also for learning 'real' Wushu, forms and acrobatic jumps.
